Sarfaranga Desert Rally 2022 is an extreme sporting event with amazing colorful attractions and wonderful festivities in the serene, breathtaking, and culturally rich District Shigar. Its Being the permanent part of the calendar event, the Tourism, Sports & Culture Department Gilgit-Baltistan organises Sarfaranga Desert Rally annually in collaboration with PakWheels.com. National-level professional drivers,international racing lovers adventure lovers, enthusiasts participate in the rally with zeal and zest. Besides Car Rally, various cultural and sports activities including polo matches, zakh competition and cultural shows are also blended with the three-day colorful event.
National and international tourists, high officials, diplomats, the business community and the corporate sector are also invited to witness the event. its seem the efforts of Government of Gilgit-Baltistan to project the real image of Pakistan by promoting Gilgit-Baltistan as the ultimate tourism and extreme sporting destination.

The famous world's highest and coldest desert Sarfa Ranga Sugar Gilgit-Baltistan car rally festival has come to an end. Apart from other events and their accessories, the festival also had a mega cultural night show in which renowned artists and producers from across the country participated. This cultural night, which started at eight o'clock in the night of September 15, 2022, was started with May Fung, a traditional festival of Baltistan, in which innumerable torch bearers participated. To the beat of Balti traditional music, these torchbearers welcomed the special guests of this mega cultural show, Raja Nasir Ali Khan, Minister of Tourism and Wazir Saleem, Minister of Construction and escorted them to the venue.
Meanwhile, dozens of lanterns were left in the air, whose twinkling lights continued to create another sky in the darkness of the night. While the spectacular fireworks display made the scene look as if the galaxy had come down to earth for some time. On the stage, versatile artist Khadim Hussain, popular ordinary artist Salman Pars, charming artist Manzoor Baltistan, favorite singer Niaz and Group and the famous artist Safar Jafri from Lahore captivated the audience with their mesmerizing voices. kept swinging while Laxmi Kant Pyarelal Ustad Amin Hanzai of Gilgit-Baltistan composed the mesmerizing music.
